A conference involves both parties and/or their representatives. The conference is attended by:
An officer of the Authority will usually also be present.
If you have a representative acting for you, they will attend the conference. You can choose to be on the call as well, but you won't generally be allowed to speak.
If you are representing yourself, then you will attend the conference and speak to the Authority member and the other party or their representative.
We may provide an interpreter if required or help for people with disabilities — ask the Authority officer when the conference is being arranged.
At the conference, you will usually be asked to confirm any witnesses you would like to give evidence. You can ask anyone to be a witness before the Authority.
