Right to Representation
In any employment relationship problem, you have the right to be represented in the Employment Relations Authority by any person or organisation you choose.
How a Representative can help
A representative may be able to:
- give advice on your employment problem
- help you prepare for an investigation in the Employment Relations Authority
- represent you in meetings with the Authority member.
Kinds of Representative or Advisor
Help can be obtained from:
- a union
- an employers' association
- a lawyer, whether through a law firm or a community law office
- an employment relations advocate
- a family member
- a friend.
